Use strong credible language and terms that apply to your business. Since some of your customers may know quite a bit about the product or products you’re selling, you need to speak their language. Also, use words like <em>us</em> and <em>we</em> rather than the first person pronouns <em>I </em>and<em> me</em>, even if you are the sole owner and employee. The <a href="http://www.8008608068.com/" target="_blank">experts from PMI</a> recommend that this page be about 200 words in length.</p>
<p>Your About Us page may also include a mission or vision statement. This statement should include the purpose of your business and that your business is customer service-oriented. You may also want to list important intangible values that you believe in.  Tell your visitors how they can expect to be treated as a customer of your business.</p>
<p>Validate the quality of the products and/or service you offer. Including manufacturers or brand names of products you sell builds credibility. You are able to capitalize on the manufacturers’ credibility and brand recognition. Professional organization memberships or awards, certifications for the industry your product is related to, and reference to the length of experience within that field can build credibility. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in the industry! Sell your strengths from the beginning and then update your About Us page as your experience grows!</p>

The survey also revealed that consumers are willing to spend significantly more with companies they feel take care of them. This is particularly relevant in today&#8217;s economy, where over 60% of the consumers surveyed said that <a href="http://www.8008608068.com/" target="_blank">high quality customer service</a> is more important to them than in the past. </p>
<p>Online businesses aren&#8217;t immune to the importance of customer service. In fact, it&#8217;s even more important online, because there are so many online options that if you disappoint a customer, they only have to visit a different site and they are free of you forever. Here are five customer service tips from <a href="http://goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/product-compint-0001370057-page.html" target="_blank">PMI</a> to help you boost your customer service: </p>

<li><strong>Treat customers with respect.</strong> Great customer service starts here. Always treat your customers politely and with respect. Let them know how much you appreciate their business. Show trust in them by taking their word when there may be misunderstandings. Never argue with a customer.</li>
<li><strong>Assist customers promptly.</strong> One of the greatest ways to gain your customers&#8217; trust is by responding to emails, calls and complaints as quickly as possible. Don&#8217;t leave them hanging, or they will find someone who treats them better.</li>
<li><strong>Deliver what you promise. </strong>Nothing kills customer relations faster than dishonesty or incompetence. Never make a promise you can&#8217;t back up. In the rare cases where circumstances prevent you from fulfilling a promise, always offer some sort of compensation.</li>
<li><strong>Know your product. </strong>Establish your product details and company policies early and make sure that every employee understands them. Make your answers to customers comprehensive and articulate. <li><strong>Meet your customers&#8217; needs. </strong>Make sure you know who your customers are and how to best serve them. Seek their input as often as you can. When they know you are striving to meet their needs, they&#8217;ll give you their loyalty.</li>

<p>In recent years, unsolicited emails have become a huge headache for consumers online. Also known as spam, these emails often contain offensive material or are used by scammers to obtain personal information for <a href="http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt127.shtm" target="_blank">criminal activity</a>. Like all legitimate internet educators, <a href="http://goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/product-compint-0001370057-page.html" target="_blank">PMI Education</a> applauded when in 2003, Congress took action by instituting the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act (CAN-SPAM). In conjunction with this Act, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) implemented rules to stem the tide of unsolicited content.</p>
<p>Here are some of the key requirements of the FTC’s rules*:</p>
<ul>
<li>Identification – Unsolicited commercial e-mail      sent to non-wireless accounts must be clearly identified as a solicitation      or advertisement for products or services.</li>
<li>Offering      a Way to Reject Future Messages      – Commercial e-mail senders must provide easily-accessible, legitimate      ways for recipients to reject future messages from that sender.</li>
<li>Return      Address – All commercial e-mail, and      e-mail considered transactional and relationship messages (about existing      transactions), must contain legitimate      return e-mail addresses, as well as the sender’s postal address.</li>
<li>Subject      Lines – Commercial e-mail senders must      use subject lines that are accurate. Using misleading or bogus subject      lines to trick readers into opening messages is prohibited.</li>
</ul>
<p>These <a href="http://onguardonline.gov/articles/0038-spam" target="_blank">laws</a> help make life easier for everyone. For one thing, you won’t have to spend as much time sifting through junk emails. Also, when you do receive unwanted messages, you should be able to easily opt out of them. Legitimate email marketers will find that their emails will be more effective as they comply with the FTC rules. Prominent opt-out information may lead to more people remove themselves from email lists, but that is better than dealing with complaints from frustrated customers down the road. CAN-SPAM has provided a strong set of rules to help electronic communication be safer, cleaner and more efficient.</p>

<p>In simple terms, affiliate websites are where you promote the products or services of other people for a profit.
